Sora no Otoshimono Gets 3rd Season

A recent television commercial for the March issue of Monthly Shounen Ace magazine indicates that a 3rd season of Sora no Otoshimono has been given the green light.

The March issue will go on sale on Thursday, 26 January. The ad hints that the issue will contain an “important announcement”.

Phi Brain: Kami no Puzzle Gets Season 2

Anime studio Sunrise has announced that a second season of Phi Brain: Kami no Puzzle has been given the green light. In the second season, the story continues to revolve around the Orpheus bangle and Phi Brain, but the puzzle battles heat up.

A new enemy, a group of boys named Orpheus Order, appears before Kaito and the others, and the battles begin anew.

The second season will premiere this 8 April 2012. The anime is currently airing and the first volume of the anime series will go on sale this 27 January 2012.

Yuruyuri Season 2 Announced!

Back when Yuruyuri ended up, all of us couldn’t stop but beg for more Yuruyuri. Yes a Season 2. Our wishes were granted just yesterday when Season 2 was announced.

The official website for the Yuruyuri television anime series and original manga creator Namori confirmed on Saturday that production on a second television anime season has been given the green light. The announcement was first made at the Yuruyuri event that was streamed on the Nico Nico Live service on Saturday. (One which I missed due to my internet going bonkers.. -_-)

According to the official Twitter acount for the anime, the first key visual art for the second season, titled Yuruyuri♪♪, will be published in the March issue of Ichijinsha’s Comic Yuri Hime magazine (the home of the manga) on 18 January 2012.

Bakuman Season 3 Confirmed For Fall

Bakuman Season 2 is currently airing. And what’s this? We have confirmation that Season 3 has been confirmed to air next Fall, according to the latest issue of Weekly Shounen Jump magazine.

The manga is still ongoing so I don’t see how they’re going to wrap things up nicely.. =/ Regardless, Bakuman is awesome and if you folks haven’t started, you should! Or read the manga ^^.

New Minami-ke Anime Announced!

According to a character song CD bundled with the 9th volume of Minami-ke manga, a new Minami-ke anime project is currently in the works. The announcement was made by the cast members on the disc.

By the way, Chiaki, it seems like Minami-ke will be animated again.

I heard that, too. Congratulations! Haruka-neesama.

You, too. Chiaki. We’ll do our best again.

Yes, oneesama. Let’s do our best.

Why did you say that? I wanted to say that Minami-ke would be animated and give congratulations. I should have been the one to announce that.

More Hayate the Combat Butler! 3rd Season Green-Lit

Looks like we finally have confirmation on the 3rd season of Hayate the Combat Butler!

In April, manga creator Kenjirou Hata tweeted in reply to someone on twitter that a 3rd season would be coming after the movie.

The “99th volume” of Kenjirou Hata’s Hayate the Combat Butler manga announced on Saturday that production on a new anime has been green-lit. The manga volume is being distributed for free at the paired screenings of the Hayate the Combat Butler! Heaven is a Place on Earth film and the Mahō Sensei Negima! Anime Final film.

I am excited for more Hinagiku! (No not Nagi ^^)

Zero no Tsukaima Gets Another Season!

Great news! Fans can get more Louise and Siesta(Horie Yui!). Wraparound jacket band on the second volume of Yukari Higa’s Zero no Tsukaima Chevalier manga is announcing the final series of the Zero no Tsukaima light novel franchise has been given the green light for an TV anime series. So far a total of 3 seasons has been aired in Japan.

Missed the first 3 seasons? Don’t worry as Zero no Tsukaima Kessakusen, a recap of the previous 3 seasons, will air in October on Tokyo MX.

The 4th and final series will air in 2012.

Excited? I know I am! This means more chance for me to hear Hocchan’s voice *_*.

Working!! 2nd Season Early Preview CM

Here’s a look at the 15-second commercial which is now streaming on the official Japanese website for the Working!! anime (2nd season). Tokyo MX, Tochigi TV, Gunma TV, and other television stations will show the first episode of the new series one month early, starting on September 3.

The anime is based on Karino Takatsu’s manga of the same name, which revolves around a high school freshman named Sota Takanashi who works part-time among a restaurant’s high-spirited, eccentric, yet cool staffers. The first season aired during the spring 2010 anime season. NIS America, the American subsidiary of the Nippon Ichi Software videogame company, licensed the series last November and released it under the name Wagnaria!! earlier this year.

Working!! (2nd Season) will formally launch in Japan this October, after the preview showing.

2011 Hunter x Hunter Anime Premiere This October

Looks like Hunter X Hunter is getting a reboot. The upcoming television anime adaptation of the Hunter X Hunter manga will have a new staff and cast compared to the original 1999-2001 television anime, and it will retell the story from the manga from the beginning.

The anime will premiere on NTV on October 2 and run every Sunday at 10:55 a.m.

Hiroshi Koujina (Rainbow – Nisha Rokubō no Shichinin, Neuro – Supernatural Detective) will direct the anime at MADHOUSE (Death Note, NANA), and Jun Maekawa (Dragon Ball Z, Fresh Precure!) is in charge of the scripts. Takahiro Yoshimatsu (“Something Yoshimatsu” of Future GPX Cyber Formula, Slayers) is designing the characters, while Toshio Nakatani is producing. The cast is slated to be announced later.

Sweet. I didn’t watch the original Hunter X Hunter, looks like I can watch it soon!

According to mangaka Hata Kenjiro on twitter, it seems that there might be a Hayate no Gotoku Season 3! Rumor or true?

Mangaka Hata Kenjiro replied to a question from a Taiwanese fan about the third season of Hayate no Gotoku! anime on twitter.
