One Piece Musou Coming For PlayStation 3 http://zotaku.com/2011/09/02/one-piece-musou-coming-for-playstation-3/ http://zotaku.com/2011/09/02/one-piece-musou-coming-for-playstation-3/#comments Fri, 02 Sep 2011 08:00:10 +0000 zenical http://zotaku.com/?p=16342 The latest issue of Jump has confirmed the One Piece Musou game for the PlayStation 3.

Fully titled One Piece Kaizoku Musou, or One Piece Pirate Musou, the PS3 title is the collaborative project Namco Bandai and Tecmo Koei have been teasing for the past week. The game combines the One Piece franchise (the Namco Bandai side) with the Dynasty Warriors/Musou franchise (the Tecmo Koei side). The result will be a Musou-like action game.

I been drawn to the Musou-like games of Tecmo Koei for quite some time, and now a One Piece game? Clearly more money-making scheme in the process! More details to come soon as Namco Banda will be showing a video at the upcoming Tokyo Game Show in September.

My Personal Top 5 Anime OP(s) at the Moment. http://zotaku.com/2009/07/03/my-personal-top-5-anime-ops-at-the-moment/ http://zotaku.com/2009/07/03/my-personal-top-5-anime-ops-at-the-moment/#comments Fri, 03 Jul 2009 12:03:47 +0000 M http://zotaku.com/2009/07/03/my-personal-top-5-anime-ops-at-the-moment/ Well. I guess I haven’t written much on zotaku so I figured, “Hey, why not start now.” I wouldn’t be a frequent poster like what Zen or Bluesnow does but I’ll still try to post something every now and then.

My Personal Top 5 Anime OP(s) at the Moment.

For now, since none of the currently airing Summer Animes interest me and I’m not exactly adept in the field of finding Anime or Figurine news, I figured I’d just do Diary Posts for now. So yeah. Diary Post No. 1, let’s go.

Right.. So these are the Top 5 Anime OP(s) playing on my iTunes at the moment. Not in any particular order, just that they have the highest play count of June-July. (Oh do view the videos in HD and in Full Screen Mode. Looks a whole lot better)

1. D51- Brand New World (One Piece)

2. Aya Hirano – Super Driver (Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu)

3. Nana Mizuki – DISCOTHEQUE (Rosario + Vampire CAPU 2)

4. Abingdon Boys School – Jap (Sengoku Basara)

5. SCANDAL – ShoujoS (Bleach)

and this concludes this post. so Yeah. What are your Top 5 Anime OPs at present?

One Piece Drama http://zotaku.com/2009/06/01/one-piece-drama/ http://zotaku.com/2009/06/01/one-piece-drama/#comments Mon, 01 Jun 2009 00:35:33 +0000 bluesnow http://zotaku.com/2009/06/01/one-piece-drama/ Luffy One Piece

I just realized that this weekend was full of drama for the anime Once Piece.  Funimation (the North American distributor of One Piece) partnered with Toei Animation were planning to release streaming “simulcast” episodes online with English subs. Apparently Funimation’s security was breached and somehow someone was able to access and release the video for episode 403 before it even aired in Japan. In recoil Funimation has canceled (at least temporarily) simulcast of One Piece on its official site, Hulu, and Joost. Funimation is probably in deep trouble, and I don’t think its a good step in the still new development of legally streaming anime.  I’m sure alot of One Piece fans are mad at least.

Funimation’s Official Statement:

As anime fans know, FUNimation Entertainment and Toei Animation had planned for the first ever online simulcast of the One Piece tonight at 9:00 pm CDT., just one hour after its premiere on Japan’s Fuji Television. Unfortunately, in the last 24 hours we have determined that the FUNimation servers were compromised, even though we employ strict security standards. An unknown individual accessed and posted episode 403 online and as a direct result of this illegal act, all U.S. and Canadian fans will be deprived of access to this great anime series for the immediate future. We will make every effort to locate and prosecute the perpetrator(s) to the fullest extent of the law and will provide updates regarding this most serious matter.

I’ve never actually watched One Piece… or rather all I ever saw was the dubbed opening and an episode about a gay balarina and decided it was awful (though my friends beg to differ.)
