Lastly, this is probably the best news – the game will have an evolved control system! Players can move slowly left and right while holding your gun, and perform moves such as 180 degrees turn, adding cover and a quick evade where you can slide left or right.

Additionally, there’s online multiplayer mode in Resident Evil 6, supporting up to eight players. Previously in Resident Evil 5, it was offering a “Versus” mode via DLC, which allowed four players to go against each other in death-match combat.

The game has been in development since 2 years ago, which is logical as it has been 2 years since the release of Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition. A demo will be released to the public when it’s nearer to the release date. “Survival horror elements… mixed in with classic Resident Evil moments” will be back along with the return of zombies in Resident Evil 6, along with the action packed gameplay in Resident Evil 4 & 5.

Resident Evil 6 will be available on PS3 and Xbox 360 on 20 November 2012. A PC version will release afterwards.

Take note, the multiplayer portion will initially be locked off. Only folks who have redeemed a Battlefield 3 online pass or seized some other ways BioWare has yet to reveal will be able to co-op. Co-op gameplay will  open to the public on 17 February 2012.

The game is free to play, but items will cost money. The player can make friends with magical girls and form a party of six, including the player’s own character. As an online title, the game supports cooperative play between multiple players as they take on Walpurgis Night.

This game promises many appearances of characters and mobile suits from the past Gundam works.

Namco Bandai will be holding the alpha test for the game from the 16th to 18th December. A total of 3,000 players will be selected to take part in this alpha test. You can get the game in Steam, DirectDrive or GamersGate at $15. No matter which site you purchase from, it will be still added into your Steam account as Trine 2 utilities Valve’s Steamworks suite for multiplayer, Steam Play, achievements, and the Steam Cloud.

The PlayStation edition will be launched later this month on 20 December 2011, followed by Xbox Live on 21 December 2011. Interestingly, A Linux version is also slated for launch in 2012.

I have been waiting for this game since it was announced but my time now is split between Battlefield 3 and Skyrim. Hopefully I can squeeze some time for this game when its released in PSN. :(

Battlefield 3 upcoming DLC “Back to Karkand” expansion pack will also feature its own Assignments.

The Assignments are a set of ten challenges which unlock new Back to Karkand weapons and dog tags.

For example, “Let It Rain,” will tasked players with racking up 20 light machine gun kills and two with mortars, and offers the QBB-95 rifle as reward. After completion you’ll get a new assignment to complete.

Assignment progress is tracked across both the base game and Back to Karkand maps, and unlocked Karkand weapons can be used in both too.

Back to Karkand is slated to launch in December, and PlayStation 3 users will get it a week earlier than other platforms (take that PC/Xbox users!  xD). It’s free if you pre-ordered Battlefield 3, but otherwise you’ll have to cough up some dough for the DLC!
