Japan to Import New Flu Vaccine

It has been months since I last blogged about the swine flu. H1N1 isn’t a big deal in my country right now – probably because everyone have been taking extra precautions when they go out. Right now, Japan is preparing to import new flu vaccines against the H1N1 influenza.

Japanese manufacturers began producing new-flu vaccines in late July, but the ministry estimates that doses for only 13 million to 17 million people will be available by the year end.

Cough Syrup

For the past two weeks, I have been down with a horrible dry cough. You should heard seen me complaining on Twitter ^_^”. While your typical coughs can be treated with cough medicines, dry cough is different. I have been given cough suppressants – which suppresses my urge to cough, but my surroundings are still making me cough. LOL.

Swine Flu Hits Tokyo

Just when swine flu alert is going lower in Asia, Japan has been hit with the flu. A total of 283 cases(as of Thursday 21 May 2009) have been report in Japan alone. 3 Japanese Males Confirmed With Swine Flu

Swine flu reaches Japan! Three Japanese males from Osaka who returned from the United States have been confirmed to be infected swine flu, making them the first cases of Japanese nationals to contract the new flu.

Swine Flu Hits Japan?

Seems that my fear is coming true.. ><
It is being reported that a Japanese woman who came to Japan on April 30th 2009 may be infected with swine flu. The particular woman, arrived in Japan via a North America Airline flight from L.A.

The passenger, a Japanese woman, was transported from the airport by ambulance to Japanese Red Cross Narita Hospital. The woman, accompanied by quarantine officers wearing protective suits, walked into the hospital without assistance.
