Breakfast in Japan

A very detailed report about Japanese people having what for breakfast, whether they eat breakfast everyday, has been posted up on What Japan Thinks.

Breakfast for you?

I eat my breakfast everyday, and that is probably the reason why I am so healthy =X. I have a glass of milk after my breakfast and I head off for my lessons ^^. But I believe many of my friends do not have their breakfast!

Graph of Whether Japanese eat their breakfast

They carried out a survey over 3 months, and the scale size was 7,965.

52.7% of the sample were female, 1.0% in their teens, 13.4% in their twenties, 36.1% in their thirties, 29.9% in their forties, 13.4% in their fifties, and 6.2% aged sixty or older.

While there should have been a equal percentage of the various age groups to give a better understanding and more accuracy of the figures, this is a rough gauge. Moving forward, while I was looking at what the Japanese people have for their breakfast, I got a shock. They have drinkable jelly as their drinks. In addition, it is not surprise to see them having Green Tea in the morning. The only time when I have my Green Tea is during my Tea Break ^^

One of the questions: What do you try to do when you eat breakfast? The answer with the highest percentage of 73.3% was they strive to eat every day. I was fairly amused because I normally wake up late in the morning and because of that, I tend to rush myself to head out as soon as possible. I normally spent a fair 5 minutes to finish my breakfast (not very good/healthy I guess) but my main focus would be to complete my breakfast the fastest I could!
