The otakus go to a French Anime convention, Chiaki competes in the hardest conductor competition of his life, and we find out Nodame is D cup o.o?

Episode starts out with the french Otaku trying to seduce Nodame to an Anime convention… he even offers for her to stay over at his house. We find out that Chiaki’s competition is also in the same area, so they will cheer for him when they’re done.

At the competition there is a man who is Viera Sensei’s apprentice, and he is the expected winner of this competition. Chiaki tries not to let this bother him… though he seems more stressed than normal.

After several days Nodame is able to come visit her Chiaki perform.

For the first time Chiaki gets to see Viera’s student perform… and he is overwhelmed at how well he did. To make things worse they have to perform the same song.

Chiaki is very stressed, and it become very clear to the members of the Orchestra. Chiaki starts barking orders at every single mistake and they get frustrated with him. In the middle of the song they just stop though… Chiaki wasn’t thinking straight and messed up. He actually asks to start over from the beginning after apologizing… as bad as this looks its actually this that helps him win the entire competition.

After Chiaki’s match Nodame comes to cheer him up.

She gives a motivational speech even…

Although it doesn’t seem to have the intended effect. xD

The two of them go out drinking… and its late so Chiaki offers her the opportunity to sleep over at his house… Nodame has some wishful thinking about the night.

In the end though, despite Chiaki being completely drunk Nodame didn’t get anythingxD

She’s forced to sleep on the couchxD

The next day they find out the results of Chiaki’s last match, and he actually made it to the top 3 somehow.

That night Nodame tries to get some… again…

But of course Chiaki just yells for her to get lost.

The final day at the competition the anime doesn’t even show him play his last piece, which I was a little annoyed about. But it was obvious he was going to win, during the last match the Orchestra players were moved that he was humble enough to admit he had made a mistake. Chiaki comes onstage with a smile on his face, and the next scene is an announcement that Chiaki has won first place.

Yes… another man hugging Chiaki while Nodame has to watch from the sidelinesxD

In the end Nodame does get her hug and congratulates him for making it over another big life hurdle, and Chiaki was very happy^.^
