It sucks when one has to take a break from work due to injuries. Work will pile up when you are resting at home, and when you return back to work, there are lots of work to be done -_-. Kaiji Kawaguchi , manga creator of Zipang, fractured his right arm in a bicycle accident, and therefore would be taking a hiatus from drawing until the end of May.

The accident occurred on April 14 when Kawaguchi was going out to get lunch and skidded in the rain. The fracture occurred at the top of his right radius bone, and he will need to rest his arm for at least two weeks.

Kawaguchi published a message in the current issue to announce the hiatus and added, “I tried drawing with my left arm, but….”

His message also included the drawing attempted with his left hand(above). Kawaguchi is a right hander, so he has difficulty drawing with his left hand.

Ever had an injury that required you to stop schooling for awhile? Or for work? For me I had this gum infection where my wisdom tooth was growing and as a result, I couldn’t eat/drink properly. I wasn’t able to talk too! Took a few days off from school because it hurts just to open my mouth. T_T
