Comments
Bluesnow – Yuri. It burnsssss. I will not be watching this >_>.
Zenical – Hocchan is voicing this! MUST WATCH DESU!! Woohoo XDXD. Yuri is like an okay thing to me now, I don’t know why. Too much fangirling I supposed?

One student, a girl named Hitagi Senjōgahara, almost literally falls into his lap, only to have him discover she has no weight.
Comments
Bluesnow – The plot doesn’t seem that enticing by itself, but the trailer made me realize that Shaft (Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei) is responsible for this. Will have to take a look now.
Zenical – Hocchan voicing again =3. Must watch <3. Lol.

Comments
Bluesnow – Omg another Type Moon anime! I’m not a huge fan of Fate Stay/night, but this looks decent. I will probably be checking it out, but I’d prefer to see the rest of Kare no Kyoukai than this.
Zenical – Hm. Game adaptation, will probably check out the first episode.

Comments
Bluesnow – About five seconds into the trailer I couldn’t help but think that this show is more or less Digimon with guns… and then I laughed when one of the youtube comments said about the exact same thing xD~ This is meant for younger children probably; will no be watching it.
Zenical – Uh. It sounds full of science terms. But the comment from bluesnow about it being Digimon is… FASCINATING. Lol. I love Digimon =X.

The manga has been running in Heiwa Shuppan’s Comic Cute! magazine and later in Houbunsha’s Manga Time Kirara Carat since 2004, and two volumes have been compiled and published.
Comments
Bluesnow – Looks cute, I actually thought it was a sequal to “Sketchbook” that Zenical mentions below, though I never saw that. Will watch if other people say its good, but it isn’t really jumping out at me.
Zenical – This sorta reminds of Sketchbook ~full color’S~ somehow. The title “Art Design Class”, Slice of Life and Comedy genre really sounds like that. Then again.. Because there’s the fangirl in me who wants to check this anime out because my lovely Hocchan is voicing one of the main characters XD.
Hetalia Axis Powers – Season 2
Air Date: July 27th
Episodes: Unknown
Genre: Comedy, Historical, Made of Win and Pasta
Official Site: Hetalia
Seiyuu: Daisuke Namikawa, Hiroki Takahashi, Hiroki Yasumoto
Summary
Based on a popular web-released manga series by Hidekazu Himaruya, this has been described as a “cynical gag” story set in Europe in the years between WW1 and WW2 (1915-1939), using exaggerated caricatures of the different nationalities as portrayed by a gaggle of bishōnen. For example, the Italia Veneziano character is into pasta and women. The Deutsche (German) bishi loves potatoes and sausages, and Nippon is an otaku boy. Installments of the manga have jumped back and forth in setting from the ancient times to modern-day geopolitics. The manga’s title comes the Japanese words for “useless” (hetare) and Italy (Italia).
Comments
Bluesnow – PASTAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA=D~ My favorite current ongoing series getting a second season! Of course I will watch it. Kind of a shame its still only available by streaming and phone so image quality is guaranteed to stay low and short unfortunately.
Zenical – Sadly I didn’t watch Season 1 at all, despite bluesnow ranting at me to watch it. I did watch a couple of videos but I guess I was just too lazy to go to streaming sites to watch them XD.

Zenical – This is in my watchlist. Somehow I chanced upon the first season, got interested upon reading the summary. But I have yet to start watching it. Haha.

Others, fearful of their powers, expelled them and named them Needless.
Comments
Bluesnow – Sounds like a pretty standard Shounen anime to me. Nothing particularly standing out too much, and the art work on the main page is scaring me away a bit, but if I hear good things about this I might watch it.
Zenical – Looking at the seiyuu list.. Hm. Gonna watch the first episode first ^_^.
Princess Lover

Comments
Bluesnow – From the looks of it, a pink haired princess with ginormous cleavage, a Saber Look alike, a gentle maid and a cute school girl battle to be the lover of a generic high school boy? I think I’ll pass. (On another note… how long has Ginormous been a real word!? xD)
Zenical – Ecchi -_-. Do not want. However I will consider this anime if the ecchi is mild. LOL.
Sora no Manimani

Comments
Bluesnow – When I watched the trailer all I could think was mediocre and generic, but if I find myself bored enough, which is very possible with this summers lack lust line up, I might give it a shot ^.^”
Zenical – The plot sounds common. Oh well, I will most likely catch this to see whether it’s worth catching =P.
Spice and Wolf- Season 2

Summary
The second season of Spice and wolf; a series about a merchant traveling with a wolf goddess back to her home land.
Comments
Bluesnow – Probably the series I’m looking forward to most this summer =D Although I’ve heard alot of people say this series is boring I enjoyed the first season very much. The animation and music was nice, the plot was mellow, but intrigueing. I’m hope they get back to Horo’s home this season; I’m curious if anymore romance will spark between her and Lawrence.
Zenical - This anime is a must watch! Probably the one I am looking forward to too.. I just completed the first season like 1 month back, really love it. =D
Taishou Yakyuu Musume
Air Date: July 2nd
Episodes: 12
Genre: Sports, Slice of Life
Official Site: Taisho Yakyuu Musume
Trailer: Taihou Yakyuu Musume
Seiyuu: Kana Ueda, Kanae Itō
Summary
Based on a popular seinen light novel. (I’m having alot of trouble actually finding information about this series, but based off poster comments in different locations this sounds like an anime about an all girls baseball team in early 1900′s Japan.)
Comments
Bluesnow – I only avoid three types of anime… anime aimed at children, anime aimed at perverts, and sports xD Because its an all girl team maybe it will be a typical of tradition sports series… but I probably won’t be watching it.
Zenical – Slice of life anime is what I am looking forward to. But sports+slice of anime might be a totally different thing. Then again I need some light anime series to lighten my week. Haha. Hopefully baseball isn’t as boring I thought it will be.

Comments
Bluesnow – Didn’t know about this anime till right now, but after watching the trailer it jumped very high on my definitly going to watch list! I was impressed by both the animation, and the suspense; hopefully this ends up being one of the gems of the season.
Zenical – My goosebumps stood after watching the trailer. Looks very epic and drama. Must watch! XD.

Comments
Bluesnow – Another installment by the same people as Higurashi sounds nice. The overall plot itself doesn’t sound very original, but then again Higurashi seemed dull until people started ripping out each other’s guts. The main character (which you can see by looking at the main site) looks like a mix between an very efeminate Pheonix Wright with his pointing finger trade mark and Gino from Code Geass. I will most definitely watch this… but if it doesn’t live up to my NICE BOAT expectations I will be very disappointed.
Zenical – HOCCHAN is voicing in this anime too =D. The voicecasting this time round is pretty strong, with Daisuke Ono, Marina Inoue and Rie Kugimiya. Wow. This is a definitely must watch, plus Hocchan in it, must^10.

Comments
Bluesnow – Mermaids + Mahou Shoujo…. The music and animation I thought were decent actually… But don’t know if I’ll watch this one.
Zenical – Hocchan voicing the main character?! Omg must watch XD. In addition this is a magic genre anime according to ANN. I always get attracted to magic anime series, somehow. Lol. This will be on my watchlist ^_^.

The manga creator Takuya Fujima has announced in a Tuesday blog entry that a television anime adaptation of the Weiß Survive card game manga has been green-lit. The story follows the main characters Takeshi and Michi as they get lost in the Card Battle world and have to win card battles to return home.
Comments
Bluesnow – Card Games and blinding pink hair aren’t really my cup of tea… The boy kinda reminds me a younger version of Shiro from Fate Stay/Night though.
Zenical – Fujima drew Nanoha manga too, so that explains why the male lead looks like Erio from Nanoha StrikerS lol. Uh it’s airing already right? Don’t think I will check this out.
Yoku Wakaru Gendai Mahou
Air Date: July 11th
Episodes: 12
Genre: Mahou Shoujo?

Comments
Bluesnow – When I said above that the only anime I avoid are Kiddy shows, Hentai, and sports I lied… I also avoid Mahou Shoujo (Magical Girl) anime xD So this is on my no list as well.
Zenical – Mahou Shoujo eh? Must watch!!

Summary
A teacher who wants to kill himself and despairs about all the failure of society in the most amusing ways. His class if filled with equally colorful character. This is the Third Season.
Comments
Bluesnow – When I saw this I laughed at the Irony that a show about a man who tries to kill himself every episode is seemingly immortal xD I still haven’t seen the second season, or the ova’s, so I have alot to catch up on before I watch this (Not that this series goes in any logical order… or follows any logic at all really).
Zenical – On my backlogged list. I haven’t started watching Season 1 T_T.
Clannad: Another World, Kyou Chapter
Air Date: July 1st
Episodes: 1

The eighth and final DVD for Kyoto Animation’s Clannad After Story anime adaptation of Key’s Clannad visual novel will include an “Another World: Kyou Arc” episode. As the name implies, the episode will recount an alternate story arc that focuses on the Kyou Fujibayashi character.
Comments
Bluesnow – Never was a fan of Kyou, but since its Clannad I will most definitly watch this. I just hope it doesn’t turn out as poorly as the Tomoyo Chapter; I couldn’t even finish that one.
Zenical – A chapter that concentrateson Kyou. Well will be watching this since I did finished watching CLANNAD. The Tomoyo Chapter(I’m not a Tomoyo fangirl!) was okay but I wonder what will they do for Kyou’s Chapter?
Hellsing OVA 6
Air Date: July 24th
Episodes: 1
Genre: Action, Supernatural, Horor

Trailer: Hellsing OVA 6
Seiyuu: Fumiko Orikasa, Jouji Nakata
Summary
The Sixth installment of the OVA series of Hellsing. The story centers around an anti-Vampire organization called Hellsing, who’s strongest warrior Alucard is ironically the strongest vampire that ever lived. They do battle against ghouls created by crazy neo vampire nazis.
Comments
Bluesnow – I’ve been looking forward to this for about a year… even though the last ova came out 6 months ago, there was no Alucard so I was depressed. I look forward to more vampire Nazi death and gore so beautiful it brings tears of awe to my eyes.
Zenical -Looking at Hellsing just reminds me of someone I hate lol. I’m not a big fan of Hellsing. Didn’t even watch any of the OVAs released so far oops =X.
Higurashi no Naku Koroni Rei #4
Air Date: July 24th
Episodes: 1
Genre: Horror, Mystery, Psychological
Official Website: Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Rei (OVA)
Seiyuu: Yui Horie, Yukari Tamura, Mai Nakahara, Mika Kanai

At the start it would appear that this story will only be about fun and good moments for the “club” members, but after a brief fun during the first ova, the story turns out to be more deep and tense. Rika now feels strange and distant. And even feels that the same tragedies of the “past times” will occur, feeling that destiny is something that can’t be changed in the end. She thinks about getting involved and try to solve those mistakes or just giving up to that tragic destiny.
Comments
Bluesnow – 99.999% chance will not watch… I was very upset at the first ova with the magical one piece of death that… Too much fanservice~ Not enough guts xD
Zenical – I never completed Season 1.. But back then I was flooded with my backlogged anime series, maybe when I have the time I will catch the show. I remembered stopping halfway through Season 1.. Lol.
Rebuild of Evangelion: 2.0 – You Can (Not) Advance
Air Date: June 27th
Episodes: 2nd Movie
Genre: Mecha, Philosophical, Slice of Life, Sci-fi, Drama
Official Site: You Can (NOT) Advance The Picture On that site scares me xD
Trailer: You Can (Not) Advance
Seiyuu: Kotono Mitsuishi, Megumi Hayashibara, Megumi Ogata, Yuko Miyamura
Summary
Part of the “Rebuild” Evangelion series retelling the origenal story in high qualtiy movie format with a few new twists. But never fear… they have all of the same old kick ass Eva/Angel Fights~ an akward middle schooler pushed into the fight to save all of mankind, and plenty of Shinji being emo I’m sure.
Comments
Bluesnow – I watched half of the first one and had gotten bored; perhaps it was because I had rewatched the series not long before that. It seemed to resemble the origenal too much regardless of the better quality, based on the trailer and the characters I see though they aren’t following the series exactly, so maybe I should give it another chance.
Zenical – Watched the first movie in the Cinema, loveeeee the soundtrack. Sound effects fanstatic too XD. 2nd movie will get Asuka involved too, so yeah, Asuka will probably overwrite Shinji being very emo. I can’t stand him being emo. I hope to catch this in the Cinema soon. ><
To Love-Ru – OVA #2/3
Air Date: June 4th, August 4th
Episodes: 3
Genre: Harem, Comedy, Ecchi
Official Site: To Love-Ru

Summary
Following the adventures and trouble that surrounds Lala Satalin (princess of Deviluke stellar empire) and her unwilling fiance Rito Yuki (a mere human), and friends. The story from “ToLoveRU” continues with a lot of fun caused by Lala’s scientific research. (Source: ANN) This Second episode is titled “Rito and Mikan.”
Comments
Bluesnow – I saw the first episode of the TV series. I think it was about a pink haired alien princess that ran away from home and ended up in some perverted kid’s bathtub naked… I could barely make it through the first episode. I’m not a fan of ecchi, but I’m sure some fanboys will be happy with it.
Zenical – I completed the anime series and watched OVA #1. Lol. This is like one of my first few ecchi series I ever completed. In the past I can’t stand ecchi series. To Love-Ru was different in a sense.. The ecchi wasn’t too much that I couldn’t take it XD. Of course there’s Golden Darkness inside who looks sorta like Fate.. so it is a must-watch =P
Our WatchList
Green Fonts means the anime is the Number 1 on our List. Red Font means… take a look at my list and u’ll know. LOL.
Bluesnow - Bakemonogatari, Canaan, Hetalia Axis Powers II, Spice and Wolf II, Tokyo Magnitude 8.0, Umineko no naku koro ni, Hellsing OVA 6
My list seems kind of short this season compared to say… last fall. This summer season seems kind of weak for anime I like. I’m looking forward to Spice and Wolf the most as of right now=D. Although both Hetalia and Hellsing are high on my list. Umineko no Naku Koro Ni, CANAAN, Tokyo Magnitude 8.0, and Bakemonogatari look like the most intriguing NEW NEW anime series, but I’ve found that I’m frequently misled by pretty trailers~ Hopefully these series will make my summer vacation a lot more interesting =D
Zenical – Bakemonogatari, Aoi Hana, Spice and Wolf S2, Umineko no Naku Koro Ni, Tokyo Magnitude 8.0, Umi Monogatari ~Anata ga Ite Kureta Koto~, Princess Lover, Yoko Wakaru Gendai Mahou, GA: Geijutsuka Art Design Class, Kanamemo
The ones in red are definitely on my watchlist because Hocchan(Yui Horie) is voicing one of the characters(main/supporting) in the anime! Woohoo!! Lol me and my fangirling. Hopefully I will have time to watch them and not backlogged any series >_>.
So after reading our entire line-up, which anime are you looking forward to? Any ones on your watchlist?

The lack of anime series to catch this summer has left me in despair!!
OVA2 has been out already actually. For to love ru that is. A mikan-centered OVA. I LIKE!. :)
Yeah. I don’t see myself watching half the shows this season.
Oh, so this is ur secret joint post. lol Nice. hahaha
Oh my list are Spice and Wolf II (the only anticipated series on my list), Aoi Hana, Canaan (because i was interested in figma I saw xD), Princess Lover (after watching the trailer, I was a bit interested lol), Sora no Manimani (ZOMG, astronomy. Yeah, go ahead and laugh lol), Tokyo Magnitude 8.0, Umi Monogatari ~Anata ga Ite Kureta Koto~ and Clannad, Kyou chapter.
It’s gonna be a busy season once again. -_-
Woah! This summer’s anime look bored. II didn’t really find anything very interesting.
Slice of Life – I don’t like; I read a lot of books and I find that books dealt with this even better. Some of those anime with a slice-of-life theme are childish and too random for my taste.
Romance – automatically out.
Comedy – No way. Haruhi – boring as hell; School Rumble – You called that FUNNY? Lucky Star (sorry Boss! :P) – OMG HOW RANDOM CAN THAT BE?! Minami-Ke – Well.. it’s funny sometimes but they reused those punch lines a bit too much.
So let’s see…
I’ll be watching:
Canaan
Umineko no Naku Koro Ni
Tokyo Magnitude 8.0
Yoko Wakaru Gendai Mahou
and last but not least, HELLSING OVA! DAMN! HOW CAN I NOT WATCH THAT?!
Canaan seems interesting, but otherwise I haven’t seen others that have interested me for this season. Might just continue those continuing from the Spring.
@ Jen: You might enjoy spice an wolf xP
Its a little bit more complex… or rather… its not senseless comedy or generic slice of life.
and yes HELLSING OVA =3
Its a shame only 2 come out a year.
I was also disappointed with the lack of choice this season though…
It probably has something to do with the economy.
CANNAN is on my def watch list. I can’t say for the rest because Clannad, Sayonara Zetsubo Sensei and Wolf and Spice are still on my backlog list.
I apologize for smearing the good name of Lucky Star. Someone is going to kill me :P
KYOU~! T_T

Princess* <_<
Yup. Of course, Princess Lover is currently my highest priority in my Anime Watchlist. Haha.
2nd being Tears to Tiara.
