To celebrate Zotaku 1st Year Anniversary this month(24 August 2009!), I decided to have a Figurine Giveaway. The prize is sponsored by my ad client, Hobby Search. Very thankful to them for helping me out with this event ^_^. And so, after 1 week, with 2 rounds of Giveaway Questions posted up, we finally have our winner!

Before I reveal the winner, here are the links to Round 1 and Round 2 for references:

The question posted up was:

Guess how much Nendoroid Kureha cost me. (Including Shipping cost)

And the hints given.. I think the last hint was the biggest clue!

  • I bought her from Hobby Search.
  • I had some member points to spare, hence Kureha came with cheap shipping.
  • I live in Singapore.
  • Damage for this loot is around 50 SGD.

And the answer is 3,250 yen!

Kureha

The answers given by our Round 2 Participants:

  1. Optic: 4,000 yen
  2. Blowfish: 3,358 yen
  3. phossil: 3,330 yen
  4. GNdynames: 4,383 yen

It was indeed a close one between Blowfish and phossil ><. But yes, phossil has won for our 1st Figurine Giveaway – A Figma!

And it’s Figma Tsuruya School Festival Maid Version with a Mikuru Hair Part. Woots!

Figma 37

Congratulations phossil! I will be contacting you very soon for your details so that Hobby Search will be able to send you your prize ^^.

I hope that all of you guys who took part – Round 1 and Round 2, had a lot of fun for this Giveaway. I will be holding our 2nd Figurine Giveaway before 2009 ends. So do stay tuned!

This Giveaway was brought to you by the awesome folks at Hobby Search. Do check out their site for any future items you are interested in ;).

Even with a 25% chance of winning, the odds are STILL against me. D:

The reason why I said you’re evil is because all but one of the “hints” could have been disregarded, as a simple currency conversion would have been suffice. My initial guess was around 3225 yen by using 50 SGD and the rates for exchange on August 12th. HOWEVER, I had to weigh the possibility of you having accumulated points of over 20,000 yen’s worth of goods spent (without shipping) and at the end I thought you just threw in random numbers for the contest, so I added 1100 yen into the shipping. Yeah, I overthought it >_>

Don’t get the impression that I’m upset, I’m really not. Plus, it’s not something that I really wanted anyway :P Congratz Phossil
