1 Year Anniversary – We’re One!?
Finally the day I have been counting down to – Our 1st Year Anniversary! It has been a long journey for me, bluesnow and M. We started back in 2007 but didn’t get to celebrate our “1 year of being together” because I switched everything over to zotaku and well, by then it was August, already past our “1 year” date. Aww.
We had our tiny celebration just 2 weeks ago with our 1st Figurine Giveaway, with winner phossil of animoe.net walking away with a figma sponsored by Hobby Search. ^^
Like to take this chance to thank all my readers for supporting zotaku for 1 year! – do keep the comments coming in! It’s been a joy reading and replying to them. Also a big thanks to fellow bloggers. You guys kept the otaku passion in me, hence zotaku is still alive today =P.
A breakdown of the events that happened here just for lolz:
August 2008:

September 2008:
- More blogging
- Bluesnow’s Birthday!
- Hobby Search becomes our ad client ^^
- Bluesnow on her journey to be a teacher, blogged some tips to learn Japanese =D.
- Zenical and her first Nendoroids
- Zenical decided to fix her first MG Gundam: Strike Freedom. Ended up hurting her own fingers
October 2008:
- Bluesnow blogging about LittleBigPlanet Beta, when she doesn’t have one. Today, she still doesn’t have one. Haha! Oh when will you get a PS3 blue? Get one and join me and M on the Playstation Network! =D
- The ALMIGHTY BUSY M – HIS FIRST BLOG POST! LOL.
- zotaku screws with us by having disappearing comments
- We spammed a lot of Fall anime reviews wow. o.o
November 2008:
- Zenical showing that she prefers Nana over May’n: Still the same today, YUI+Nana+Hocchan > May’n. :D
- Celebrating my birthday during exams. Orz
- Zenical joins the darkside of gaming -Hello PS3!!
- M and Zenical on an adventure at AFA08. She tries to kidnap M’s little brother but failed.
December 2008:
- zotaku starts dying – Zenical gets can’t-stop-playing-ps3-games disease
- Bluesnow who didn’t learn the secret ninjutsu from Zenical can’t continue blogging
- Zenical spring cleaning during Christmas
- Was late to wish all readers Merry Xmas
- It was probably she was looking forward to fangirl over Nana Mizuki’s LIVE FIGHTER.
- And she is seriously flooding/poisoning herself with more Nana loots.
- And the last post of 2008: 2008 Expenditure for Zenical. PASSION!!!
January 2009:
- We start to go hiatus again because Zenical starts to game again D=.
- But the otaku side isn’t dead! Her loots of January 2009.
February-March 2009:
- Dead
April 2009:
- By some miracle we came back
- Probably because of K-ON! that Zenical came back
- Zenical announced that she’s going to Japan which failed in the end because of the swine flu -.-
May 2009:
- So, we’re back
- And Zenical decides to teach ninjutsu to Bluesnow – so that even if Zenical dissappear next time, she can still blog at zotaku
- Rumors of New Haruhi Season
- Zenical starts to fangirl over Hocchan – First LIVE DVD Purchase
June 2009:
- You can see Zenical is totally going into Hocchan craze
- Zenical is still going-to-game
- Crazy fangirls are still spamming Kuroshitsuji Season 2 post. LOL. 47 comments to date.
- The 3 Loves of Founder Zenical. <3!~~
- Summer Anime Post which took us days to complete ><
July 2009:
- Zenical joins Hocchan in her Adventure
- M appears with his Top 5 Anime OP(s) at the moment. I wonder whether he’s going to do the same every month? LOL
- We start working on our own mascot – well it’s bluesnow.. since Zen sucks in drawing on the com >_>. SHE’s completed btw! =D
- Started our Seiyuu Sunday Section – Marina Inoue as the first Seiyuu featured
- Zenical drove to town(for the first time) to collect her figurines from the shop – was lost at some parts but I just drove on. LOL.
Wow the complete breakdown of the stuff that happened for 1 year.. o.o
Also, just last week, we were interviewed by Robyn Lass of AnimeBlips. Yeah so we were featured on AnimeBlips ^^. It was fun doing the interview.
Well, again, thanks for reading zotaku for the 1 year. Do take note that Bluesnow is actually a GIRL. And Zenical is a GIRL. Everyone kept thinking that we’re guys or something LOL – probably because of Zenical’s hobby to fangirl over female singers and well.. you don’t see girl bloggers a lot nowadays, I guess ><
And our third writer is.. a guy who’s called M. Just remember M is for Male!
So with 1 year behind, what’s to come in the next year?
I have no idea. With school starting and stuff, I do get busy – but I’ll give it my best to blog constantly. I enjoy blogging so I’ll definitely blog XD. Also, you can follow me on Twitter to get updates on me. I always tweet when I am on the way home, outside and stuff. It’s like a mini diary for me if I can’t blog due to some reasons ^^.

My take in why visitors think you girls are guys:
Blogging is a clearly male dominated niche and you two dont blatantly show off that you got boobs.
Thats the way I like it!
Theres nothing more annoying than girls trying to get attention in a male market by showing OMG I Got Boobs and Im totally doing a guys hobby even though Im a girl.
Does anyone remember all the GRRRRRL Gamerz a few years back?

Haha thanks! We will try our best, but there will be times when the site will look quite “dead”. We are students after all so work comes first!
