Just how many figurines is it till it’s considered too much?
You know, when I saw zenical’s Tower of Unopened Figures as well as Great Wall of Alter, I kinda thought that that was too many figurines already. But to this guy, her collection is probably not even worth mentioning.
From DannyChoo:
Omocha Teikoku shows us just some of his collection. By April 2008, he had 1983 figures but dont think he has counted since then ^^;
Check out his burogu where you will see some Dollfie daughters too. The larger versions of these photos are in his right column.
Below are pictures of the rest of his collection.
This guy’s collection of figurines actually makes Zenical’s collection look very small in comparison. Mine isn’t even worth mentioning now. Haha. I do think however, that this is way too many figurines. I mean 1983 figurines? Mine barely reaches the 50 mark? How many figurines do you guys own? Any of you have a collection matching 1983 or higher?
On a final note, how many of your own figurines can you spot in the collection?

I see two factors that would usually determine the limit of figures that you would ever own. First is space. Obviously you need a lot of space to display a lot of figures. The second is your interest in figures. Once you’ve reached a point where you have lost the interest in figures that would be your limit and in some cases you might even start to sell them.

^ I think you forgot the third all encompassing factor of monies!!! xD
Although I suppose money isn’t an issue to an Otaku this far lost~ They’d probably sell their soul for more.
In my case~ I have ALOT of spare room~ and an interest.
But I’m so cheap when it comes to money that I would never buy any xD

Lol I have impulse buys, I feel tempted to sell them, but it’s pretty hard to sell now.. LOL.
I need to update my stack of cds collection for you XD

That’s an amazing collection. For me, it would be too many — I don’t have space to display 2000 figures. He’s obviously managing, though they might look better if they weren’t quite so cramped.

I hope this person has insurance on his assets.
it’s worth thinking about considering ‘anything’ can happen. :S

yea man. this guy needs insurance for sure. :D
I can imagine his heartache if it all goes up in flames.

My figure count must be around 79 figures.From a sane persons view those are already way too much but I dont really mind ^^

It looks like that the collector includes little trading figures (shokugans & gashapons) as well as posable figures to the collection. But still this is too much for me, as I’ve already lost counts of my little tanks around me. One thing I do feel worried for him though is that if an earthquakes hits and hits hard, the consequence can be… Unsightly >_<;;
I have no more plans of getting scale PVC figures at the moment after Fate, but smaller posable ones such as figmas are still viable for me for the time being, as well as the much more affordable gunpla of course.
