Anyone seen real pumpkins before? Not for me >< – this is my first time seeing a whole lot of pumpkins! XD

Fuku Pumpkins

These unique white pumpkins as seen in the picture, capped with orange berets, are in a plastic greenhouse at a farm in the Gifu Prefecture city of Takayama.

As their color and shape do not change even after one year from harvesting, the “Fuku pumpkins,” which are as big as a baby’s head and weigh about 700 grams, are popular among tourists and sold at the city’s famous morning market in Miyagawa district.

Wow wonder what are the pumpkins used for? Tourists buying them to bring home? Or for consumption.. o.o

I’ve never seen any like THAT~ But I see hundreds during Halloween.
Carving them was always a pain in the butt~ But removing their innards was fun.
