So apparently, during a Negima Event that happened in February of this year, Yoichi Ishimoto who produced Negima’s Ala Alba’s OVA, had mentioned that a Negima movie might become reality should the sales for the Mahou Sensei Negima! ~Mō Hitotsu no Sekai~’s OVA be good.

According to ANN,

The 41st issue of Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine will confirm on Wednesday that an anime feature based on the Negima! Magister Negi Magi manga has been green-lit for 2011. The manga creator Ken Akamatsu had already indicated in his online diary last month that the decision had been made to produce the project. During a Negima event in February, Kodansha producer Yoichi Ishimoto had said that if sales of the upcoming original anime DVD series are good, there would be plans for a theatrical film adaptation.

Anime Feature eh. Sounds like a Negima movie to me. Well, the Negima OVA’s have so far been pretty good. I’ve recently caught the Ala Alba OVA recently and found myself pleased with most of the episodes parts. I can’t wait for Mo Hitotsu no Sekai 1st episode which is due out this month. Hopefully they do a good job with it.

I’m pretty pumped right now about the Negima news. My favourite parts of the Negima series had to be Chao Lingshen arc and the Magical World arc that’s covered in Ala Alba and Mo Hitotsu no Sekai. Hopefully the feature would cover the Magical World arc as well. Is there anyone here that’s going to be catching the Mo Hitotsu no Sekai OVA?

Here’s the preview for the OVA.

Alright. I’m pretty high at the moment. Can’t wait for more news about the Negima feature now.
