M’s ODST Loot
So I’ve realized I’ve never really done a loots post before. Zen had asked me to write one for my Batman: Arkham Asylum(PS3) purchase, but by the time I felt like doing it, the game was sold off already. Then came the Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 purchase which I wanted to post about, but Zen had beat me to the chase and posted up her own copy. Blahhh. You can view her loot post here.
Mikuru wearing Hatsune Miku’s outfit is proudly showcasing the game.
Yeah. So my loot post for Sept 2009, would be Halo 3: ODST for the XBOX360. I pre-ordered my copy of the game about a week back and I got a call this morning regarding the game’s arrival. While I haven’t actually played the game yet, I already know I’m gonna love it.
I loved Halo 1, 2 and 3 as well as Halo Wars. Truth be told, I’m a sucker for anything branded with Halo. I was even tempted to buy the Halo version of Risk as well as the Halo strategy board game.
can’t wait to start on this game.
The game actually comes with 2-discs. This much, I did not know until I received my copy of the game. The 1st disc consists of the game’s main storyline and all. It also serves a second purpose which I will be revealing later in the post.
Disc 2 contains every single map released for Halo 3. As to whether I can just play the maps using the discs, or have to use the disc to download the maps to my harddrive, I’m still nto sure at the moment. I do hope it is the former though, cause my 360 has a 20gb memory space and it’s really running low.
And here are the other contents included in the Disc Box.
My only gripe with the instruction manual is that the 1st half is in Mandarin. I know it’s meant to cater to a select group of people in Singapore who just choose to read everything in Mandarin, but is it really necessary, when the entire game is totally in English. Other than that, I just love the Halo Instruction manuals. They provide me with the necessary background info I need to play the game and to sorta understand it.
An advert for Halo Legend, that spangled new Halo Anime you’ve probably been hearing about. I can’t wait till it is out.
And lastly, a Halo: Reach Multiplayer Beta Invite. As I’ve mentioned earlier, Disc 1 serves a second purpose. This is the 2nd purpose. The beta for Halo Reach will only be downloaded through the Halo 3:ODST disc and that will probably be released early 2010.
As for why I decided to pre-order this game instead of picking up the game off a shelve at the game stores, is mainly because of the Free Skin bundled with the game. Ok, truth be told, I’d thought I would get an add-on character if I had pre-ordered. However, that promotion in Singapore, only applies to those who pre-ordered at our recent IT Fair. So yeah, bummer for me.
Yeah. This is the free skin included if you had pre-ordered. And I got busy the moment I got home, skinning my 360.
Before:
After:
Yeah. My beautifully-skinned 360. Rawrs with epic-ness every time I look at it.
Alright, this concludes my Loot post for September. I’ll do another Loot post in October cause that’s when I’ll get my Tekken6(PS3).
Sick
I’m rather intrigued by the translations. Halo is “The Final Battle” in Chinese?

At first I thought it was a bootleg copy because it was in Chinese. >_>

And yeah, a Halo fanboy here. :D
Ohh, and most X360 games here comes with Chinese on the cover yeah, so it’s pretty much normal for me already.

[...] to have eight short films instead of seven. M told me that he has a slip of paper that came with his loot, which is an advertisement for Halo Legends and it clearly states that there are eight short films. [...]
