14 anime singers have recorded John Lennon’s “Imagine” song in a charity effort to fight world hunger. The song is available for download since last Friday(Not available for download services outside of Japan). 100 yen from the proceeds of each download of the song will go to the World Food Programme (WFP) – United Nations organization that fights world hunger and poverty.

14 Anime Singers To Help Fight World Hunger

Singers involved in this are:

  • Mami Ayukawa
  • Yoshifumi Ushima
  • Minami Kuribayashi
  • Hiromi Satou
  • JAM Project (Hironobu Kageyama, Masaaki Endou, Hiroshi Kitadani, Masami Okui, Yoshiki Fukuyama)
  • Hiroki Takahashi
  • Kaori Hikita
  • Faylan
  • Yumi Matsuzawa
  • Shunji Inoue

It’s true that I’m turning into a Idol Otaku, seeing that I recognise most of the singers on the list O_O. Anyway, I like to do my bit for WFP, guess I have to check whether my country has anything up.

I only know Minami Kuribayashi and have an idea about JAM Project so I’m not an Idol otaku at all. :)
My sister recently did the 40 Hour Famine. She was pestering me for donations so I gave 20 bucks. She was happy. LOL
