Bayonetta is out, and while the PS3 sales did better than the Xbox 360, overall the game has sold over 200,000 copies during Week 1!

Bayonetta Tops Japan’s Game Chart

The week was strong with new releases, including Tekken 6 for the PS3 and 360—again, the PS3 won that contest—Persona 3 Portable and the “Universal Tuning” re-release of Dissidia Final Fantasy. Starting off slowly were two other new releases, Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars for the DS and Sin & Punishment 2 for the Wii. Those games charted at spots 16 and 21, respectively.

I’m confident it will top the Aussie PS3 charts when it’s released here.

@Optic – I can not wait for it to come out in the U.S. A friend and I were even thinking of importing it. The game just looks too amazing to wait for.

If u really can’t wait then importing the Japanese version is okay. The game itself is in English including the in game text and menu. The only thing that is not is the manual but u can learn while u play.
The only thing that’s stopping me from importing the Jap ver. is the price. It’s kinda pricey I gotta admit.

@ Optic: what about games like Modern Warfare? :O I read from my local forums that there was some midnight launch for the game? Lol

@ Donyea: We get games imported here no matter what. Guess being in SG is an advantage here, the only thing is – DO WE HAVE THE MONEY? well die-hard fans will definitely go for the game import first..

@ Optic: Oh it’s in english? I see XD.

Yup there was some midnight launches of the game at EBgames in the city. I’m not sure how big the turn out was given the face a few in city too place, I guess it was quite a hyped game. Honestly, I didn’t know it was that popular considering War games are not really my type of genre.

As for Bayonetta, well, I asked my workmate who went to Japan this week to get it for me. If it’s over 90AUD when he does the currency exchange then I told him to forget about it. So in 2 weeks time, I could have the game sooner, rather than later. xD
