Having seen Shoko Nakagawa last year at AFA09, hearing this piece of news of her life story being made into a manga is really exciting and refreshing! As reported in the March issue of Kodansha’s Nakayoshi magazine, Nakagawa Shōko Monogatari (Shoko Nakagawa’s Story) manga will launch in the next issue on March 3. Voice actress/singer Shoko “Shokotan” Nakagawa has drawn her own manga before, but this time round, Asumi Hara (Saikyō Seito-kai Tsubakiyo) will be drawing the biography for Nakagawa.

The story will deal with Nakagawa’s coming-of-age as she dealt with grade-school bullying and the passing of her father. Nakagawa’s father, the popular Japanese actor and singer Katsuhiko Nakagawa (Choriki Robo Galatt, 1985’s Toki o Kakeru Shōjo), died when she was only 9 years old.

Wow, 25 this year and she’s getting her life story made into a manga XD. I would like to see other VAs and Singers get their life story made into manga too! Name one you would like to see :). I know what’s my answer at this point XD.

Kitamura Eri’s would be awesome. Another otaku-turned-seiyuu, defeating Minori Chihara to obtain Gold Prize in the Pony Canyon Voice Artist & Singer auditions in 2003.

Actually, if I were to choose just one, I think I wouldn’t say Nana but Kugyuu. That’s because we know well-nigh nothing about her.
