Final Fantasy XIII Might Get a Sequel?
We all know Square Enix for giving us Final Fantasy. And Final Fantasy XIII is not a sequel or Final Fantasy XII. Final Fantasy XIII-2 is, just like how Final Fantasy X-2 came from Final Fantasy X-2. By the way, Final Fantasy X was my first Final Fantasy game on the PlayStation console. Love the game a lot!
When asked about the chances of a direct FFXIII sequel, the game’s producer Yoshinori Kitase replied, “In the past three years we worked both on the world and on the various systems. Creating these systems isn’t very glamorous and can frankly be a bit boring.” Okay, go on.
“If we could do a XIII-2,” the producer added, “we could direct all our attention to the story and refine what we have already built.”
Wow I don’t know what to say. I’m currently into 20 hours plus of the game, gotta say the game is a graphics galore game for me since the battles are quite relaxing (except the boss battles!) But yeah, I am enjoying FF13 at this point and I haven’t completed the game.. so I will have to complete the game before believing whether or not FF13 requires a sequel >_<.

Isn’t Final Fantasy Versus XIII a type of a sequel? Or if not a side story game. From what I’m hearing it’s still in progress to be released in 2010.

@lightningsabre: I think it’s more of another story that takes place in same world. Judging from the few screenshots, I would venture a guess that it probably would take place in the past.
Mmm, I would love a FFXIII sequel just because of more content. I’m loving the battle system and graphics, although I realized I tend to spam the X button the entire time after I already queued up 5 actions. That’s probably why my fingers get so tired, but the boss fights are too intense. >_>

a prequel set in the war between gran pulse and cocoon would be nice
then again, i’ll rather have ffxv
