To be honest, how many of you actually watch Studio Ghibli movies? If I’m not wrong, I believe I have only seen 1 movie from Studio Ghibli – that is Spirited Away. LOL. Studio Ghibli’s My Neighbor Totoro film has finally sold 1.001 copies, after 440 weeks. The DVD was first released back in September 2001. It has remained in the top 300 of Oricon’s weekly DVD ranking charts ever since. Wow that’s like a longgggg way indeed.

Despite this record, Totoro is only the #3 top-selling Ghibli film on DVD in Japan to date. Spirited Away has sold an estimated 2.344 million copies on DVD since 2002, and Howl’s Moving Castle has sold an estimated 1.216 million copies on DVD since 2005.

See, I chose the right movie. Choosing Spirited Away as my first Studio Ghibli film(probably last if I’m too lazy to catch the others) was the right choice I guess :D. But I did play Totoro’s music on the Organ, gotta say the music is catchy to the ears ;).
