Do you spend part of your money on original anime series? I used to until I started to go crazy over my loves that I only concentrate on buying album/single/live concerts now. LOL.

According to Oricon Biz, media sales of Anime and Tokusatsu increased 14% in the first half of 2010, compared with the year-earlier period. The Blu-ray sales by copies have risen 2.5 times while the DVD sales dropped by 2.9%.

Anime and Tokusatsu makes up almost 50.6% of the Blu-ray market. It’s great that media sales are increasing. In addition, anime series like The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya is getting a Blu-ray Box release, and it has English subtitles – we don’t  have to worry about not understanding the language now. All the more reason we have to purchase in order to support the industry.

I’m definitely waiting for the moment when they release the Nanoha series in Blu-ray. I WILL buy :D.
