I attended this little cosplay event in Funan DigitalLife Mall on 10 April 2011 together with two of my friends. My intention was just to look around and maybe snap some pictures of cosplayers hanging around. Well what really happened was I forgot my camera and there were only a handful of people cosplaying.

It seems like the main attraction for this event is an Akiba-style Underground Idol named Chiroru Hoshino. She was singing and dancing on stage to promote her single called Step Up!. She has a small fan base that is growing in Singapore as she already made an appearance before in 2010. She also has some Singaporean pen pals. I asked her when did she started singing. She told me she started in junior high around 2 years ago. She also started playing the guitar a year before that.

Her singing on stage was pretty good, so I bought the single to give it a listen. It was not ground breaking, but definitely decent. You can sample her music in her Myspace page. I’m quite interested to hear more from her in the future.
