PlayStation Network is finally up for the Asia region! Well… Most of Asia. Every country should have access to PlayStation Network by now other than Korea and Hong Kong. I’m afraid PS3 owners living in these two countries will need to wait a little longer.

As for the PlayStation Store, it is currently still not up yet. The good thing is that its rumored to be restored today, but I’m not holding my breath.

I went for a (literally) small preview event for inFamous 2, organized by SCE Hong Kong Limited and GameSpot Asia. There were around 12 people who attended the event. We got a chance to try out the game and it looks really good. I didn’t play it, but my friends (including M) did and they had a great time with it. I did not play it but what I can tell you, is that the visuals are awesome. There are moments when the frame rate drops to 10fps or so, but for the most part it should be running at a solid 30fps or higher.

Other than inFamous 2 we also got a chance to try out Hunted: The Demon’s Forge. That game… Does not look interesting. Well, at least not when it is being showcased side by side with inFamous 2. Hunted feels like Resident Evil 5 set in a Lord of the Rings environment. That said, it’s selling point is probably the 2-player cooperative gameplay. One player controls a female character, an archer of some sort. The other player plays as a warrior class character. The two of you then work together and complete missions.

New Releases

  • Dungeons & Dragons: Daggerdale (XBLM)
  • Hunted: The Demon’s Forge (PS3, X360, PC)
  • The Sims 3: Generations Expansion Pack (PC)
  • BlazBlue Continuum Shift II (PSP, 3DS)
