Kurogane Manga Ends

The final chapter of Kurogane was in the recent ninth issue of Weekly Shounen Jump magazine.The manga’s eighth and final volume will hit store shelves in Japan on April 4, and Shonen Jump asks people to look forward to mangaka Haruto Ikezawa’s next work.

The manga series debuted in 2011. The first chapter is also available in English, as Shonen Jump has postedon its website.

Story revolves around Kurogane, a guy with no athletic ability whatsoever. When Tsubame, the girl who sits next to him in class, invites him to join the kendo club, he naturally turns her down. But then, on the way home from cram school, he’s attacked by the ghost of a mysterious swordswoman! A story about careening youth and kendo begins here!!

The series also has a “Vomic” (voice+comic) audio/manga episodes starring Takuya Eguchi as Hiroto Kurogane, Hitomi Nabatame as Sayuri, and Minako Kotobuki as Tsubame. The episodes can be watched for free at the official Vomic website.
