While Japanese banks have been using this technology for years, Hitachi have implemented this technology to – Vending Machines ^^. You can pay your can or bottle drinks using your veins! No coins or bills are involved ;)
Hitachi’s proprietary biometric authentication system requires that users first register an account (probably linking their vein pattern to their registered credit card), but it allows the buyers to purchase a can of green tea or coffee by inserting their hand into the machine for a quick scan!
The company also incorporated a digital signage …

Ever wonder whether your dog is feeling sad? Or happy? Or frustrated? It seems that Tomy Co has thought up of a new version of its device called “Bowlingual Voice”.
The wireless microphone device, which fits on a dog’s collar, transmits the animal’s sound to a handheld console which analyzes and “translates” into six emotional categories. The device then emits a common phrase matching the dog’s emotional state, both in words and voices.
I never actually heard of this device before.. Anyone? Well, now we just need one that can simply tell …

Playstation Home, commonly known as Home to all users of PS3, was recently launched on December 11 2008 with the Beta Home. It is still in testing mode with lots of add-ons in the near future. Right now it’s more of walking around in the different places of Home, and meeting new people. You have to create an avatar and then you can start exploring!
Kinda like a social networking place. The only problem is you don’t know whether the person you’re talking to is a guy or a girl.

Wonder whether anyone remember these dudes. Tamagotchi! It was rather famous years back, like 10 years for me? XD. I also had digimon devices, the one where you raise them like tamagotchis and eventually be able to battle each other. In fact I preferred the digimon over tamagotchi.. Maybe it was because of the ability to battle and all. Now tamagotchi has color. Wow, this news definitely wowed me.
I knew tamagotchi had some improvements 2-3 years back. I don’t really remember. I just know there was an added function(infrared?), thus …

Despite everyone rushing off for a iphone, I got a new phone some weeks back, on 5 August 2008. Yes I was waiting for the iphone too, but when I read of news that it melts/has cracks, I gave up on the idea of obtaining one. Futhermore, Singapore wasn’t releasing the news of the date of arrival of the iphone.
I went ahead and bought the HTC Diamond.
At least I didn’t need to queue for my new phone. LOL.
