Japanese Babies First Word
Remembered your first word when you were a baby? How about those kawaii Japanese Babies? XD
Results are based on a findings from the Baby Growth Diary, where new parents can write a journal of experiences bringing up their child ^^. The data is recorded from 398 infants, aged 10 months to 3 years old.
Their results showed that “manma” (food) was the first word to be spoken, usually around the age of 15 and a half months, with words like banana (19th), tea (25th) and milk (38th) coming in later on.
At number 4 was “mama”, with “papa” coming in 8th, “jiiji” (grandfather) 24th, and “baaba” (grandmother) 37th.
I should ask bluesnow what’s the first word common in the States, since she does babysitting all the time (all her little sisters and brothers -_-)
How about you? What’s your first word? Do you remember when you said it?

Mama (Mommy), Dada (Daddy), Milk (milky), Bottle, Sippy, No!, Pizza, Cookie, Cake (lol… we eat healthy in our houseXP), Nana (banana), Grapey (grapes), Nap (Nappy nap), Bye Bye, Night Night, Kitty Cat, Doggy, Baby, Me-ma, Poppop…

And My youngest brother’s Second word was EAGLES (as in the football team), and his third word was Tree… as In christmas Tree^.^”
Me and all my siblings were saying single words at 6 months~ and by 1.5-2 we could speak in full sentencesXD
My name is 3 syllables long so my baby sister still doesn’t say it right XD I think babies prefer 2 syllables ^.^”
She calls me iiyaaaaah XD and she generally repeats it over and over again like “iyaiyaiyaiyaiyaiyaiyaiya” Till my head blows upXD
