According to Soshi via SP Lifearts, AFA08 has another exciting event planned. Arcade gaming anyone? There will be a competition held during the two days of AFA08 in November. Games expected will be Street Fighter IV, King of Fighters ‘98, Tekken 6. I’m not really into gaming – my choices of games are limited to anime games, like Gundam Seed fighting, Final Fantasy, etc.

Well, but still, this competition should be worth checking out during AFA08.

The entire showdown will take part in three stages:

1. Group Matches – To pick out the better gamer.

2. Playoffs – The winners fare from each of their groups.

3. Finals – One vs one. Oh yeah!

Not everything comes for free, you have to pay a register fee on top of the admission fee in order to take part.

• 5 dollars for one game, 8 dollars for two games or 10 dollars for three games participation.

Each contestant needs to register at AFA08 website – Registration starts in November!

I’m not taking part, but I managed to force my friend into joining. I think he is, since I told him it’ll be more fun taking part in such competition than walking around. Sure, walking around lets us to have more impulse buys, but AFA08 is more than just buying exclusive items XD.
