Left 4 Dead 2 Public Demo Release On November 3
The demo has already been released on October 27, but it was only for people who have pre-ordered the game. For the rest of us, we have to wait until November 3 (or November 4 depending on your timezone).
There are a lot of videos already posted on YouTube showcasing people’s experience with the demo. From what I can see in the videos, the game looks pretty promising. Sure it looks almost the same as what you got in the first game, but more. The graphics have been improved, there are a lot more weapon varieties, new special and common infected, and also changeable weathers for selected maps.I can’t really say for sure how much more fun is there in Left 4 Dead 2 when everything is put together. I did not pre-order the game, so I have to wait until next Tuesday/Wednesday in order to give any solid impressions. But from the looks of the demo, the game is much better than the first. However, there is one thing that is bothering me… The walking animation for the pistol seem to be missing. As you can see from the video above, the pistol looks like its just pasted on the screen. Hope that gets fixed soon =S.
In the Left 4 Dead 2 demo, you get to play 2 parts of “The Parish” campaign. Those of you who have been following the game should know that this is the campaign which is featuring the all-new daytime setting in New Orleans where witches will be wandering around instead of staying at one spot. The demo will be featuring some of the melee weapons, and all the new special infected.Left 4 Dead 2 will be released on both Xbox 360 and PC on November 17, 2009. well I wont be playing this until I get some more memory.
Horror games a not my thing so this is a pass for me.
I don’t get the hype of this game. >_>
tis’ game is not really horror, as compared to just shooting.
You want horror in a game, try fatal frame or doom 3, both games scared the crap out of me some 4 years ago.
@guuzen
let’s play demo. :D drag more people to play it as well.
@zeni
ummm. not much of a hype, it’s just like resident evil. except you throw in 2 more characters. :D (I think)
L4D1 has more of a horror feel to it (the atmosphere), L4D2 seems to have less of it other than being a zombie shoot’em up. Not exactly a horror game when the main characters are acting badass smashing the infecteds’ heads off with guitars etc.
“You want horror in a game, try fatal frame or doom 3, both games scared the crap out of me some 4 years ago.”
Because u have already been scared M, NO GAME CAN SCARE U ANYMORE. :P
@Donyea
It shouldn’t be too hard to get this game up and running on a PC, since it is still using the Source engine which is not very demanding =).
@Optic
“Because u have already been scared M, NO GAME CAN SCARE U ANYMORE. :P”
Oh man that is SO true.. Ever since I played F.E.A.R., I seem to be able to experience more horror games >.< . However, I still can't bring myself to trying Dead Space... *shivers*
@zenical
Lol yeah there was quite a big hype for the first game, but I guess it sort of died down now.
@M
Yeah demo!! =D hahahaha… Though I may not be able to play much…. Homework……. T_T.
Q
Yup have to agree with you on that. It looks like a horror game when you look at the screenshots and videos. But when you are actually playing it, the “horror” part just sort of fade away =P.
@Optic
Im essentially still scared of every other horror movie that comes my way.
@guuzen
make time. -.-
I heard the game will be released November 4th 5:00 am, or at least the official valve site says so. Their official time zone is -11.
L4D2 is not a bloody horror game >..< . However, I still can’t bring myself to trying Dead Space… *shivers*”
i’ve played deadspace twice, it’s worth the scare.
@N
Ah sorry for the late reply, but since November 4th is over, you should already know the answer. The release date on the official Valve site is automatically changed according to your computer’s timezone =). For me it was November 4th 4:00 pm.
@Bi0HaZard
Lol I envy you brave gamers =(. I’m glad you enjoyed Dead Space though =).
