[E3 2010] Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood Gameplay Video
So you guys have seen the gameplay video of Ghost Recon: Future Soldier. Now, I am writing a post about the next game that I am excited about: Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood.
I really love the first game and I am planning on getting the second game before Brotherhood hits store shelves. With that said, I have no idea what is going on in the video below in terms of story because this is a sequel. It seems like story still plays an important role in this game despite it being multiplayer focused.
From what I have read about the game so far, 8 players will be pitting against each other in a city filled with AI. Players will be locating and assassinating each other in a living and breathing world with in-game perks to back them up. However, in the video it suggests that there is a possibility for cooperative play as well [3:50] (or maybe they are just NPCs for the singleplayer =S). There will be a 15-hour long singleplayer mode where it will focus on the continuation of Ezio’s story.
Here are some of the things that I have noticed from the gameplay video:
- This is the singleplayer campaign as the guy is controlling Ezio.[6:40]
- The producer stated that horses play a more important role and there will be advanced horse fighting. [6:52]
- There will be other usable items in the environment other than canons. [7:48], [9:21]
- The producer stated that there will be new moves and new fight mechanics, however I don’t see any big differences from other Assassin’s Creed game. You can now throw axes into your enemy’s body! [9:34]
There are not much to notice in the video since the general gameplay mechanic remains the same. There will be a multiplayer beta later this year exclusively for the PlayStation 3. In addition, purchasing the PS3 version of Brotherhood will grant you exclusive contents. It has not yet been revealed what these contents are.
Looking at how the PlayStation Plus will be launched on 29 June 2010, I can almost say for certain that subscribers to the premium service will be granted early access for the beta.
Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood will be released on 16 November 2010. If it follows the Assassin’s Creed tradition, then the PC version will be delayed for a few months after the console releases to “further polish the game to ensure that players will have the ultimate playing experience” or somewhere along that line.
