In a recent poll it has been unveiled that the majority of Japanese disapprove of Live action adaptions of manga. The majority, 64.8%, complained that in live action movies “The cast felt out of place,” “They often don’t treat the image of the original work properly” and “There’s a limit to what you can express in film.”The  35.2% that did approve, quoted reasons such as “It’s possible to enjoy the casting choices,” and “It can promote a title to a wider audience.”

Mid-Season Impressions: Seitokai no Ichizon

The OP animation sequence is nice. The song is catch, the girls are hot. This show was a winner in my book from before I even got to the main plot. The OP is sung by the 4 main female leads of the show. [...]

Fumiko’s Confession – An Independent Short

Was browsing SankakuComplex this morning, and came across a post on this short independent episode called Fumiko’s Confession (Fumiko no Kokuhaku), which is available to view on both NicoNico and Youtube. Enjoy!

In case there’s any confusion over the dialogue; at the beginning she asks the boy to go out with her… his response is “Sorry, but I want to focus on baseball.” At the end when she runs into him again… She basically asks for him to marry her (with promises of Miso Soup every morning xD), but again he …

I’m Still Alive!

Its been quite some time since I have posted, for many reasons, mostly having to do with school and money. If I had to summarize my past month in an image, it would probably be something like this:

Amime Memes: Po~Pi~Po!

To be completely honest… I have no idea what this is, but I believe it originated as a vocaloid song. The contents of the song consist of someone trying to force some Mysterious green vegetable drink on some innocent customer while doing a random dance and singing “Popipopipopipo.” Personally… I think their “dance” reminds me of some of those stupid exercise tapes from the 90’s o___o Which would probably match with the song since its some sort of health drink I believe. The Touhou one specifically makes it look like …

Romeo × Juliet’s English Dub Is Pretty Decent

Ah… I remember watching this anime around 2 years ago. It was one of those few anime, like Clannad and Valkyria Chronicles, that I will follow their releases very closely every week.

This is one of the best anime (to me) by Gonzo. I remember watching the Japanese trailer and was utterly captivated by …
