Well, despite being knee deep in school work at the moment, thought I would come back for a while to do some of the Mid-Season Impressions posts I’d wanted to so since Episode 2 of most shows. Time to get started. Nyan Koi!

[PC Review] Resident Evil 5

Resident Evil 5 is probably one of Capcom’s best ported games for the PC (Street Fighter IV is most likely decent as well, but I cannot say for sure because I did not play it). The game was out [...]

Kobato Impressions

Kobato, the newest animated series by Clamp is some sort a shojo/fantasy type story focused on a cute and naive young lady named Kobato that appears to be from another world. Her and her serious business talking blue plushie dog have come to the human world because she has a wish; somewhere she wants to go.

The dog is her proctor; she is undergoing a test in the human world to see if she has human common sense. If she passes the test she will be given a vial that collects …

Kimi Ni Todoke

Three Words: Best Fall Anime!
I have been looking for a good new romance comedy series; there hasn’t been any worth mentioning since Itazura na Kiss during fall LAST YEAR! This is definitly a great series to watch if you’re looking for something in that genre. The basic premise of the show is a bit odd; The main character Sawako, looks just like super scary Sadako from The Ring. Because of this her class mates think she is some sort of supernatural exsistence and call her Sadako; they are scared to …

Kämpfer Impressions

Kampfer seems like a modern day less origenal Ranma 1/2. The story starts off with a blue haired boy who wakes up to realize he has boobs and he’s missing certain… vital man parts o___o A talking stuffed animal with its guts ripped out explains he is now a Kampfer warrior, and because all Kampfer must be women the transformation is necisarry. The boy is knocked out and wakes up in his male form and thinks it was all a bad dream. On his way to school he is attacked …

Saki

So yeah, the first season of Saki ended on Monday. And since I’m pretty free, I decided to do a short impressions post and just post a ton of pictures.

Anime Name: Saki
Episodes: 25
Genres: Sports (can Mahjong really be considered a Sport?), Yuri (I labeled Yuri by myself)
Aired: Apr 6, 2009 to Sep 28, 2009
Producer: GONZO
So yeah, I never really liked any Anime labeled under Sports with the rare, rare exception of Bamboo Blade which featured the lovely Tama-chan and Sayako. So yeah, even I myself was shocked when my …

Gankutsuou

Gankutsuou (The Count of Monte Cristo)
Episodes: 24
Genres: Drama, Mystery, Sci-Fi, Thriller
Aired: Oct 6, 2004 to Mar 30, 2005
Producer: Gonzo
Gankutsuou is one of the most overlooked gems of an anime I know. The plot is roughly based on 17th century novel The Count of Monte Cristo. It focuses on the drama and strife of the rich nobility, and the evil it gives birth to. Gankutsuou adds vampires, Aliens, space colonies and even Mecha’s to this classic tale. Why at first this mixture is a bit baffling, and perhaps even …

Half minute Hero (Yussha 30) is like a mix between an RPG and Wario Ware.

There are three standard modes: [...]
