Remember back then when I blog about the movie Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea? Unfortunately that movie and two other Japanese Films wasn’t able to claim the Golden Lion Award at the 65th Venice International Film Festival! However, each movie did had a prize to pick up in other competitions ^^.

Quote from Mainichi New:

“Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea” took home the Mimmo Rotella Foundation Award and the viewers’ choice award. Mamoru Oshii’s animated film, “The Sky Crawlers,” earned the Future Film Festival Digital Award, and Takeshi Kitano’s “Achilles and the Tortoise” received the Bastone Bianco Award.

While I have not seen Miyazaki’s latest work, I am looking forward to it. Well, there is always next year to try again ^^

Well~ Miyazaki’s next movie won’t be done for 3 more yearsXD
And then it will be his last movie ever he claims since he’s getting up there in years~
Hopefully it will be a masterpiece.

^ Maybe Miyazaki will just live forever out of sheer will power pumping out awesome movies lolXD

Personally I think Princess Mononoke was his best without comparison~ But I’ve yet to actually see Howl’s moving castle or this new oneXD

Honestly~ in the last few years I’ve liked some other Movies better than the newest MiyazakiXD

The girl who lept through time and Paprika for instance~ though the latter is definatly more adult oriented~
And Neither is really of the same fantasy like genre~ So it may have more to do with thatXD
