Fans of the PS3 game Valkyria Chronicles should be happy to know, that it may finally be getting Trophy support! Aaron Webber from SEGA posted a comment on the PlayStation Blog, telling fans that Trophy support for the first game is definitely still in consideration.

“I wouldn’t keep you guys hoping if it was impossible – I’m a fan of the game as well, and I don’t believe in stringing people along for things that might not happen.”

“If you do want to see trophies (and I know that’s a lot of you here), then please do keep an eye out. I’d like to organize all of your feedback together so I can show some people here at SEGA just how many fans out there want them. Numbers speak loudest!”

This is definitely a good excuse for people to revisit the game and play through it once again. It is an even good excuse for people who have not played the game yet (Zenical!! XD), to maybe borrow/rent a copy and give this seriously underrated game a try. Of course, I am sure there will be people who feel that trophies are still not a good enough reason for them to replay the whole game. I can understand that because I too feel that same way about certain games, even if they are good.

Aaron Webber also stated in the PlayStation Blog that the US will be getting its second batch of DLC (Edy’s Challenge Missions) in Winter 2009. That is also the season that Valkyria Chronicles 2 for the PSP will be released in Japan. The way I see it? The best way to officially announce Trophy support for the first game is during this period time. That way, SEGA can put it together with the DLC.

But then again, whether or not there will be Trophy support, all depends on you guys! Remember, “numbers speak loudest!” =D. So start sending feedbacks to SEGA!!
