With Nintendo ratting out R4 sellers, it’s not strange that you have to resort buying your R4 in a random apartment building – not a shop ^^”

See the sign? It means “R4″ in Japanese. And they are not pointing to a shop, but an apartment!

Earlier on:

Nintendo is asking for the cease of marketing, sales and importation of these Chinese-made devices. The R4 allows easy software piracy by fitting right into the DS’s cartridge slot. Data is stored on a Micro SD and downloaded from websites via a flash drive, and the R4 has a small slot that the Micro SD card goes into.

It seems that a particular Akihabara shop might have been affected by this. Business has been ceased.

Looks like sales are still going on(openly, with all the directions directing you to get your R4). Who knows how long this will last before every single shop will have to stop selling these devices.

Folks who own a DS or DSi, do you have the R4? :D

I have a DSTT but ONLY for homebrew and titles that will never come to the US. Also, I’m surprised people are now selling them in their own homes! They can get in real trouble for that! =O
