Ubisoft has announced their next Prince of Persia game, and it will be called Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands. From the title, you can probably guess as much that it will be a continuation to the Sands of Time series and therefore the sequel to The Two Thrones and not the 2008 Prince of Persia game.

In this new sequel, players can be expecting “many of the fan-favorite elements” and “new gameplay innovations that gamers have come to expect from the Prince of Persia brand”. I am looking forward to seeing the game’s first trailer which will be showing on Spike TV’s Video Game Awards on December 12, 2009.

I have only played The Two Thrones and I enjoyed it. I may not have grasped the Sands of Time story very well since I did not play the first two games in that series, I am still looking forward to the continuation of the story. I am also looking forward to the “new gameplay innovations”. I am not sure what new exciting gameplay can be added to it, which is why I am looking forward to it ;).

Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands is slated for a May 2010 release.

I have played the first saga and the two thrones and I really liked POP sands of time saga. I hope this new game to be as good as the others. As for the 2008 game, I havent played yet, since its a different saga~~

I think you can just skip it and wait for this instead =P I have a feeling that the 2008 game is just Ubisoft trying to create a new saga in the PoP franchise or something, however I’m not sure how well the game did…
