Final Fantasy XIII Sales Tops 1 Million

Figures of the Day 1 sales of long-awaited Final Fantasy XIII is in, and oh boy, it exceeded the one million mark, as announced by Square Enix.
However, the actual number of people with the game might be more than 1 million, as the number of people who bought the Limited Edition FF13 PS3 set were not included into the figure. It is also unknown how many units of this set were made available for sale. Currently, the Lightning Bundle is available for sale in my country too, with local warranty. So cool eh? ^^
For a PlayStation 3 game, one million sales is a major feat. Prior to this, no PS3 game had reached the mark domestically. The previous top selling game for the platform was Konami’s Metal Gear Solid 4. Also, Square Enix said that FFXIII had seen an initial shipment of 1.8 million units. CEO Yoichi Wada is hoping that the game will cross two million sales.
Well, it’s not possible, just give us Japanese voice overs with English subtitles! =X.

I agree if I got to play it in Japanese with english subtitles I would have bought it. Well that and the fact I still have not gotten my long wanted ps3

if they promised to include the japanese voices/theme song as an add-on and sold a custom ff13 ps3 in the states right now, i’d shell out 300 in a split second, even when i have doubts that i’d want a custom ps3 if the game bombs in my opinion.

After seeing some early reaction to FF13, I’m not feeling quite so bad about not being able to play it anytime soon. :(

Honestly I bought the game and I hated it =/, the story was just so boring and the game is too linear. I’m not saying don’t play it, I’m just saying I didn’t like it, that’s my own opinion.
I could never get into the story, maybe because it was way too corny.
Could not relate or like a single character, all so bland.
First time there was a main character who I disliked.
Battles were fun at first then got repetitive and boring.
Good thing I bought this thing used and not new.
I feel that the only reason this game sold so many games was because people didn’t know any better. They had been hypeing this game so much that everyone just bought it thinking how awesome it would be. Not only the worst Final Fantasy game but maybe worst game I ever played.
