Resident Evil 5: Alternative Edition Announced For PlayStation 3

In our previous post about the PS3 motion controller, we have told you about “Resident Evil 5: Director’s Cut” being made compatible with it. Well, this re-release of the game is now called Resident Evil 5: Alternative Edition. Pretty weird way of calling a new edition don’t you think? I don’t know about you guys, but this is the first time I have ever heard of an “Alternative Edition” >.<. Maybe there is a meaning behind it.

In this Alternative Edition, there are so far 2 confirmed features being added. The …

Motion Controller in Action for LittleBigPlanet

Sony’s latest addition is the Motion Controller, and one of the games compatible with the new motion controller, is LBP. I was wondering how they were going to implement this into the game.. and my questions were answered by the Youtube Video below (from TGS 09) ._.

The horror! Who on earth would want to hold a regular PS3 controller, and a motion controller just to play a game? >_> Resident Evil 5 is also in the making of a “Director’s Cut” to employ the new motion controller to the game. …

Are you one of the many people that want the new PSPGo? Do you have a older PSP and a collection of games you were hoping to transfer to your PSPGo? Well it looks like you’re out of luck; Sony currently has no intention of finding an option for UMD owners to play their old games on their new system; despite the fact that at E3 they told hopeful fans they were looking into a solution to the problem.
“We were evaluating a UMD conversion program, but due to legal and …

Sony PS3’s New Motion Controller

So have you heard of the PS3’s Motion Controller yeah? It’s that Baton looking device that would look perfect if you were playing Buzz or some other trivia game.

Ta-dah! Yeah. The is the Playstation’s answer to Motion Control, much like how the Wii has the Wiimote and how the Xbox360 is going to have Project Natal. This Motion Controller was first revealed at E3 this year and at TGS this morning, more information was revealed.
From Joystiq,
Software Titles for Motion Controller from SCE Worldwide Studios

PSPgo is No Go with Dutch Retailer?

According to Kotaku, there is a report on Eurogamer, Dutch chain Nedgame – the country’s largest specialist games retailer – are refusing to stock Sony’s PSPgo.

Why?
This is because of the more expensive pricing of the PSPgo, as compared with the PSP-3000. Also the PSPgo’s screen is smaller than the previous models of the PSP, hence the higher price does not justify at all. A more obvious reason is that Nedgame cannot sell PSPgo games anymore, since the games can now be bought online.
It’s quite retarded that they are just boycotting …

Not many girls game these few days, and even if they do, it’s either the PSP, DS or the Wii XD. A Japanese marketing company has polled mostly Japanese schoolgirls about their console tastes. Here are the results:
Out of the 3,339 polled, only 161 of them were male students and the rest were female. Fifty-two of them were under the age of 11 years old; 2,387 of them were between the ages of 12 and 19; 682 of them were between the ages of 20 and 25: 218 of them …

The Regular PSN User is 28, Male, Educated, Moneyed

Are you gamer? If yes, are you a male or a female? The common response you’ll get is “male”. I seldom find female gamers here – or maybe they’re just too lazy to go to forums to do some self-introduction to the local gaming community.. Okay back to the main point of this post :). You might find yourself fitting to the “28, male, educated, moneyed” category. It depends on whether you match the criteria shared by U.S. PSN director of operations Eric Lempel to the publication Video Business.

The PS3 …

New PSPgo is No Go with Piracy

The upcoming new PSP, PSPgo has a non-removable battery. Pandora’s Battery made modding the PSP firmware, and thus software piracy, very easy. And that is why, the PSPgo has an internal battery – just for that reason.

PSP 1000 and 2000 models were easy to hack, but with the release of 3000, we can see just see how Sony is taking measures to stop piracy. With the new PSPgo, will piracy be completely wiped out? The only downside of the new PSPgo is that once your battery starts to go, you …
