Square Enix Promises to Spread World Happiness

Square Enix

Found an interview of the current head of Square Enix in response to their recent take over of video game company Eidos (Tomb Rader).

“How will we be able to contribute to this second stage of growth in the game industry? This is expressed in our corporate philosophy statement:To spread happiness across the globe by providing unforgettable experiences.
Starting with games, all the contents we provide are the ingredients for our customers’ happiness. The key is a deep understanding of each and every one of our customers. And when it comes down to it, our competitiveness depends on the quality of our contents and service.”

At this point… two things came to mind:

A certain promised Cake

LIE CAKE IS A LIE!

And Rick Astley

Their list of games from the last few years has been far from impressive or original… and as I pointed out in a post from a while back they certainly don’t understand their customers. I still have hopes that FFXIII ends up being a decent game, But I hope Square Enix stops relying on cash flows from Final Fantasy VII spin offs and merchandise and starts making better games in a more timely fashion.

FFXIII

Let see what they have to show at E3. It’s the first step to make a good impression.

They promise world happiness? Really? Cause as far as I remember they made life for many PS3 fanboys feel like it was the end of the world, when they announced that they sold out to the Microsoft Devil.

    @ M: Yeah, I still haven’t forgiven them for that…
But then again… I hold grudges so long I still remember the feelings I had back in elementary school when Squaresoft stabbed Nintendo in the back and sided with Playstation xD
Of course that was for better Graphical capacities and so they wouldn’t have to deal with Nintendo family friendly censureship… so I can at least understand… But the move to XBox360 isn’t because of system restrictions… its just because they want to whore themselves out and make more money >.< And I sure it will also damage PS3 potential sales if Final Fantasy isn't exclusive... final fantasy has ALWAYS been their system seller... Or at least for me it was... I only bought a PS1 for FFVII and a PS2 for FFX... they both ended up being good systems though luckily... PS3 on the otherhand... while its an amazing piece of hardware... doesn't have a huge variety of games yet… and is still Waaaaaaaaay too expensive for someone like me…

Milking FFVII continuously… Think I’ve felt something similar to that, and it could have been Sunrise milking the One Year War out of the Gundam series again and again hahaha.

Advent Children and Crisis Core seems good as they are the originally part of the Compilation of FFVII, but with the Denzel episode etc, I’ve lost track of what’s going on now.

Let’s hope FFXIII is actually good, as I’ve kinda half given up on FFXII (don’t know why), and my sister is way ahead of me but she’s kinda disappointed that the stuff she wants to have more development on just wasn’t there.

They’re releasing FFVII on PSN Network for the PS3. It has hit Asian PSN(playstation network) and its in Jap, much to many dismay. Apparently there has been news of it going to the US PSN.

    Milking more money, AGAIN >_>
