Woman Jailed for Virtual Murder

A 43-year-old Japanese woman has been arrested after she murdered her virtual ex-husband in Maplestory. Furious that he wanted a divorce in their online marriage in the game – Maplestory, she accessed into his account and killed off his character.

The woman, a piano teacher, is in jail in Sapporo waiting to learn if she faces charges of illegally accessing a computer and manipulating data.

Tamagotchi is Back, With Color!

Wonder whether anyone remember these dudes. Tamagotchi! It was rather famous years back, like 10 years for me? XD. I also had digimon devices, the one where you raise them like tamagotchis and eventually be able to battle each other. In fact I preferred the digimon over tamagotchi.. 2 Elderly Conned Despite Police Presence at ATM

On the 1st day of the Bank Transfer Fraud Elimination, two elderly people were conned. The irony is that there were police present at the scene. But the victory goes to the conman.

How the con happened was via the usage of cellphones. Apparently someone claiming to be their relatives called and needed emergency help – money in this case. Being elderly, they would believe anyone in an emergency. They’re easily fooled which makes it kinda saddening. The two citizens, transferred 3.5 million yen to a bank account.

Japanese Babies First Word

Remembered your first word when you were a baby? How about those kawaii Japanese Babies? XD

Results are based on a findings from the Baby Growth Diary, where new parents can write a journal of experiences bringing up their child ^^. The data is recorded from 398 infants, aged 10 months to 3 years old.
Their results showed that “manma” (food) was the first word to be spoken, usually around the age of 15 and a half months, with words like banana (19th), tea (25th) and milk (38th) coming in later on.

Milk Products Banned

If you haven’t heard, there have been cases in China where babies have been falling sick with kidney stones and experiencing complications after consuming the toxic milk powder. In the milk products, there contain a toxic called melamine.

Japan’s Marudai Food Co. has decided to withdraw three products containing milk produced by a Chinese manufacturer whose products were contaminated with the chemical melamine, which has been blamed for several deaths in China. Feeding is Banned

Tokyo’s Arakawa-ku has proposed an ordinance banning people from feeding crows and stray cats, with fines for offenders, ward officials said. The local environment has been damaged with the feedings done by residents.

Under the proposed ordinance, the ward will investigate residents’ claims and issue a warning to offenders. If the offender continues, the case will be forwarded to a committee made up of lawyers and other officials, and measures such as issuing improvement orders and publicly announcing the person’s name will be taken.
