As we probably heard of mega-sized food items in Japan, and since not everyone wants to gorge themselves with tons of food, Fast Food Chains are offering mega-downsized food items!

Reduced Portions at Fast Food Chains

The above clip discusses how Mos Burger recently cut the size and price of its hamburgers and saw a 30% increase in sales. Matsuya also started offering smaller gyudon bowls and has seen a nearly 30% increase in sales, mostly from female customers. Sukiya has noticed the success of their rival and has also added a miniature gyudon bowl to its menu.

Lol I guess females are obsessed with their weight. I don’t eat much for lunch, but I eat a lot during dinner :D. The burgers in the picture looks like the same to me, but I could tell a HUGE difference between the gyudon bowls! Omg! XD. The other thing about the “tiny” sized food items is they are cheaper, hence in a way sales will definitely increase!

And who says food is expensive in Japan when you can grab a 160 yen burger for dinner? ;)
