Nodame Live Action Movie: Trailer

It was many moons ago that live action movie adaption of ultimate Gyabo manga/anime series Nodame Cantabile was announced, and finally we get a trailer of its awesomeness. The first of the two movies is planned to be released in movie theaters on December 19th.

I’m generally not a fan of Japanese Live action anything; I haven’t even seen the highly acclaimed J-Drama adaption despite being such a big fan of the series, but the trailer is amusing enough that I have decided I have to see this no matter what …

South Korea Making Giant Mecha

Japan’s next door neighbor Korea must have gotten a little envious of their giant gundam, and have decided to build a giant mecha of their own.
This new giant Robot is planned to be 364 ft (111 M) tall. Thats more than five times as tall as Japan’s gundam-60 ft (18 M), and more than twice the size of the Statue of Liberty -151 ft (46 m). It will be built at the Korean amusement park “Robot World,” and is a tribute to the Korean anime Taekwon V (A rip off …

Tokyo Magnitude has Left Me in Despair!

Since this series hasn’t gotten too much attention this season I thought I would give my impressions on it before fall season starts.
The series focuses on a bratty middle school girl who hates everyone and her cute innocent little brother. She if forced to be his guardian while he goes to a robot convention. Out of no where there is a huge earthquake that shatters glass and send people into a panic. The girl runs back into the burning toppling building to save her brother, but if not for an …

Okami Sequal Coming to Nintendo DS

Beautiful and original capcom game “Okami” is finally getting a sequel on the Nintendo DS.  The new title is Okamiden: Chisaki Taiyou. Not too much information has been released, but the hero of his version goes by the name “Chibiterasu” and it is planned to be released sometime in 2010.
In the origenal game you play as a wolf/god that collects mystical brush powers that allow you to perform supernatural feats to purify and defeat demons. Using your brush powers on the DS should make the controls very interesting. I just …

Miku Ninja’s Two Spots on Music Charts

Since it was Miku’s Birthday yesterday I feel that its appropriate that she gets spot light for having two singles snagging a spot on the Oricon music charts.
The Hatsune Miku Best ~impacts~ and Hatsune Miku Best ~memories~ albums went on sale in Japan on August 26 and placed #4 and #5, respectively, on Oricon’s latest weekly album chart.
While in the past Miku’s songs have made it onto the top ten charts, this is the first time two of her albums have ended up there in the same week. Ah Japan~ …

Monster

Monster
Episodes: 74
Genres: Mystery, Psychological, Horror
Aired: Apr 7, 2004 to Sep 28, 2005
Producer: Madhouse
I’m not particularly sure what brought me to this series. For some reason I believe it had to do with a severe misunderstanding that arose when I was looking for the series Darker than Black. It ended up being a stroke of luck though, because this series was truly amazing.
The only other series I can compare this to is Death Note. Both have a very real feeling. Both their animation and tone are similar, although Monster …
